UII Management Study Program

History

Management Study Program-Undergraduate Program (hereinafter referred to as Management Study Program) is one of the oldest Management Study Programs in Indonesia. The forerunner to the establishment of the Management Study Program cannot be separated from the establishment of the UII Faculty of Business and Economics (UII FBE, formerly the UII Faculty of Economics). FBE UII was established by the Waqf Board of the Islamic University of Indonesia on March 10, 1948 (27 Rajab 1367H), and then confirmed by Notary Deed RM. Wiranto No. 9 dated December 21, 1951. At its inception, FBE UII had three departments (currently study programs), namely the Department of State Administration, the Department of General Affairs, and the Department of Companies. It was this company department that in the following period transformed into Management Study Program.

As a Bachelor level, Management Study Program (formerly referring to the Management Department), first obtained Registered Status on November 19, 1962, and Recognized Status on December 14, 1962. On February 18, 1966 with PTIP Ministerial Decree No. 36, Management Study Program obtained Equal status for the baccalaureate level. In 1981, the Equal Status of the Management Study Program for both the Bachelor and Bachelor levels was confirmed based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 0271/0/81 dated 23 September 1981. By Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 081/O/1992 dated January 31, 1992, the Management Study Program regained the inauguration of Equal Status.

In 1996, FBE UII made an extension by opening an International Program (currently known as the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) in Management) for the Management Study Program, which is the first International Program in Indonesia. This international program, in carrying out its teaching and learning process uses English with international standard teaching methods and standards. In the process, a variety of international partnerships in the form International Student Mobility (ISM), student exchange, and double degrees initiated by various foreign partner universities and is still ongoing.

With more than five decades of experience, the Management Study Program has succeeded in producing many alumni who have become leaders in various domestic and international companies, whose distribution is spread throughout the archipelago and across countries. From 1998 to 2020, the Management Study Program has consistently obtained “A” accreditation from the International Accreditation Body (BAN-PT), in which the accreditation status was the highest national accreditation status at its time. In 2021, when the configuration of the national accreditation ranking places "excellent" status as the highest accreditation status, through SK BAN PT No. 8790/SK/BAN-PT/AK-ISK/S//VI/2021, the accreditation status of the Management Study Program has changed to being superior until now. This achievement was strengthened by the achievement of international accreditation from ABEST21 on April 1 2021.

Currently, the Management Study Program continues to improve to achieve higher achievements in the future. Based on core values that refer to Islamic excellence in learning, the Management Study Program is determined to continue to produce the best inspiring leaders for the country.
