Study Permit Provisions

In order to maintain the order of the learning process and provide legal certainty for students, the Islamic University of Indonesia has established Rector's Regulation Number 20 of 2025 concerning Lecture Permits

In principle, students required to attend lecture activities according to the established schedule. However, under certain circumstances, students may request official permission not to attend lectures, while still following the applicable mechanisms and regulations.

Types of Permits That Can Be Applied For

Students can apply for study leave for the following conditions:

  1. Hajj Permit (maximum 30 days)
  2. Umrah permit (maximum 14 days)
  3. Sick Leave (hospitalization)
  4. Bereavement Permit (maximum 3 days)
  5. UII Official Assignment Permit
  6. Marriage Permit (maximum 5 days)
  7. Permission for Other Reasons (based on the assessment of the Lecturer/Study Program)

Students who obtain official permission will considered present during the permit period in accordance with applicable provisions.

Submission Mechanism

  1. Permission is submitted via UIIGateway to the Teaching Lecturer.
  2. Students are required to fill out the form and upload supporting documents according to the type of permit.
  3. Maximum permission can be submitted 4 times per course in one semester.
  4. The deadline for submission is no later than 7 days after the lecture begins (or can be submitted before the lecture).
  5. This provision does not apply to UTS and UAS.

Validation Process

  1. The Supervising Lecturer will carry out validation within a maximum of 3 days from the time the application is submitted.
  2. If it is not validated by the lecturer within the time limit, validation will be carried out by the Academic Officer according to the provisions.

Students are encouraged to request permission in an orderly, honest, and responsible manner. Absences without a formal permission request through the system will be recorded as absent.
