Double Degree Student Exchange

The Undergraduate Management Study Program of FBE also actively engages in various cooperation schemes, such as joint degree and student exchange, with partner universities abroad. The student exchange program allows students to take a one-semester course abroad. This program can be taken as early as the second year or the third semester. Then, this one semester will be converted into a certain number of credits, known as the international credit transfer. Furthermore, for the student exchange program, students are encouraged and facilitated by UII to join the Indonesian International Students Mobility Award (IISMA).

IISMA is a fully-funded program run by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Dikti Ristek) for students to study abroad for one semester. This program is part of the Independent Campus Program of the Ministry of Education and Culture for students actively studying in semester 4 or 6 upon registration. Upon joining this program, students may take 3 or 4 courses in any one of the destination country, either within the same department as the one they are in now or in any other department. Students who are interested in joining this program are advised to join the boot camp run by the International Affairs Office (Kantor Urusan Internasional/KUI) each semester to strengthen preparation. Further information related to IISMA programs is accessible via https://site.iisma.id For the joint degree program, after finishing their first four semesters at UII, students can finish the 5th semester onwards abroad, and as a result, they will get two diplomas and two degrees (the double degree program). This joint degree program offers three different scheme options for different partner universities, namely 2+2 years (i.e. completing the first two years at UII and the final two years at a Partner University), 2+1.5 years, and 3+1 years. Partner universities for those programs include, among others, University of Queensland, Australia; Saxion University of Applied Science, the Netherlands; University of Gloucestershire, United Kingdom; Nanjing University, China; SolBridge International School of Business Woosong University, South Korea, and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia.
